Tommy Dorsey

When Tommy Dorsey joined the mastering team at Masterfonics in the early nineties, he had already gained over a decade of music production experience and had earned respect as a performer, session musician, engineer and producer. His extensive professional music experience makes him a valuable asset to his mastering clients at Masterfonics including: Jensen Sportag, Young Buck, Ronnie Milsap, Wynonna Judd, Leann Rimes, The Outlawz, Mary Griffin, Rihanna, Lambchop, Josh Rouse, Venus Hum, Bananarama, D.C. Talk, The Newsboys, Bob DiPiero, Robert Rich, and CNN Network.

Tommy started his career at Masterfonics by assisting mastering engineers Glenn Meadows and Benny Quinn and is quick to give credit to his mentors. "I've been fortunate to have had the benefit of learning from a couple of masters". With a diligent work ethic and passion for perfecting the craft, Tommy gradually established an outstanding list of clients that would frequent his evening and weekend mastering sessions. His enthusiasm and talent for a wide range of Pop, Rock, Urban/Hip-Hop/Rap and Dance styles adds strength to Masterfonics' nationally competitive mastering team.

After nearly 2 decades of mastering a wide range of projects Tommy has become co-owner of Masterfonics and continues to approach the needs of a very exciting client base with a true love for the music. Keeping his perspective fresh and moving in sync with the changing nature of the music industry, Tommy continues to produce and perform on recent hit records for top artists in addition to mastering and mixing a steady stream of current music releases.
