Jonathan Russell

Jonathan Russell began mastering almost twenty years ago assisting legendary mastering engineer Denny Purcell. Since then he has worked with a diverse list of artists such as Jewel, E-40, Dave Matthews Band, Emmylou Harris, Aaron Lewis, Johnny Cash, Tommy Emmanuel, Willie Nelson, Marvin Sapp, Bonnie Bramlett, Chris Young, Joe Nichols, Marshall Chapman, Lexi, Blue Highway,Tracy Lawrence, Leon Russell, Mark Wills, Trisha Yearwood, Pitbull, John Anderson, Chingy, Capricorn Rhythm Section, and countless others. Jonathan has worked on multiple Grammy-nominated and two Grammy-winning recordings.

Jonathan has been co-owner of Masterfonics since 2006. He is a member of CMA, NARAS, and AES, volunteers with Happy Tales Humane Society and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee. He also serves on the board of the Chet Atkins Music Education Fund, supporting music programs in schools throughout Tennessee.
